Thursday, 23 July 2026 – The Ministry of Education through the Education Data Management Section, Department of Planning, Development and Research (DPDR), in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and the E-Government National Centre (EGNC), held the Data Standards Workshop (Session 2 – Data Alignment) as part of the Education Big Data initiative, at the Main Hall, Department of Curriculum Development, Ministry of Education, Berakas.
The two-day workshop, held from 22 to 23 July 2026, commenced with welcoming remarks delivered by YM Dr Hajah Lilly Suzana binti Haji Shamsu, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education.
A total of 57 officers and staff, comprising directors, managers, administrators, and personnel responsible for data and systems across their respective offices, departments, centres, divisions, units, and institutions, attended the workshop session.
The workshop, facilitated by officers from DPDR, DICT and EGNC, aims to review and enhance data practices across all offices, departments, centres, divisions, units and institutions under the Ministry of Education. This effort also aims to establish standardised, transparent, and effective data standards to support national educational development goals.
