1. Why do I need to submit documents for ONEPASS Digital Certificate?

A Digital Certificate has almost the same importance in the digital world as your Identity Card or Passport does in the physical world. Therefore, all information displayed on your digital certificate needs to be verified before the certificate can be issued.

2. What are my responsibilities for using ONEPASS?

The Token with the ONEPASS Digital Certificate is like an online identity card. The user is required to safeguard his/her Token and password.  If the Token is stolen or lost, it must be reported to the POC immediately. The POC will then inform EGNC for revocation of the digital certificate.

The Token password must always be kept private and confidential.  There will be legal implications if the Token is transferred or used by another person for unauthorized activities.  The user shall be held liable in the event of any breach of trust.

3.  How much do I have to pay?

Currently for a government user, the cost of ONEPASS token with digital certificate is waived until further notice from EGNC.

4.  What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password and/or you found that your card has been locked after seven [7] consecutive unsuccessful attempts, you must re-apply to the POC for a re-issuance of digital certificate with certain charges.

For security reasons, there will be no resetting of password upon request.

5.  What if my Token is damaged, lost or stolen?

For lost, stolen and damaged token, inform the Ministry POC immediately and the POC will notify EGNC to revoke the certificate. Replacement of the token with the ONEPASS Digital Certificate will be charged.

6.  What applications can I use with ONEPASS?

Currently, ONEPASS will be used for securing Government E-mail and documents on Government computers. User is able to digitally sign and/or encrypt email and/or document, whichever is necessary.

Subsequently, EGNC will collaborate with all ministries and departments on the deployment and usage of ONEPASS in any of their business applications [i.e. application that relies on the use of a digital certificate.
